- George Dryer (Gerard Butler), once a world-renowned soccer pro in Europe, is now almost penniless in McLean, Virginia. He's come to this small suburban own to mend his relationship with his 9-year-old son, Lewis, whom he has seen sporadically in the five years since he broke up with his mother, Stacie. To encourage a positive relationship with their son, Stacie convinces George to coach Lewis' little league soccer team. What neither of them anticipate is the amount of attention George is about to receive from the parents of the other kids on the team!
